Computer woes, Kidnapped Email, Bad Spam Craziness
Due to the untimely and tragic demise of the main computer here at Mamborama.com, I've been relying on my laptop and a web-based email service to handle my email.
At first, I was amazed at how well this service was able to sort through the two or three hundred spam emails we get here everyday, and just put legitimate email in my inbox. But lately, it seems as though it has grown weary of the task of sifting through endless offers for fake Rolex watches, Mortgages, and prescription drugs just to find a few real communiques, so it began flinging the whole lot into the spam folder. Can't say I blame it, but nonetheless, what's the point of having a spam filter if you have to go through it looking for real mail?
At any rate, if anyone reading this has sent me a message lately, and NOT heard back from me, try again, unless you're trying to sell me a mortgage or asking me to help you get your father's 21 million out of Nigeria.
And kids, keep safe out there on the internets. Don't follow my poor example and post on public message boards with a real email address, or you too could suffer the heartbreak of spamitis.
Here's the web site of the Festival that Mamborama is kicking off its European tour at:
